CAUT Academic Librarians’ Distinguished Service Award

The CAUT Academic Librarians’ Distinguished Service Award was established in 1994 in order to recognize outstanding contributions by academic librarians or other academic staff to the advancement of the status and/or working conditions of academic librarians at Canadian universities and colleges.

Nominees should have significantly contributed to the advancement of the status and/or the working conditions of academic librarians at either the local, regional or national level.  This could include significant work as part as a faculty association, research related to the status of academic librarians, advocacy or other areas.

Criteria:
Candidates may be either current or former academic librarians or other academic staff.
Candidates will be assessed on the significance of their contributions to the advancement of the status and/or working conditions of academic librarians at either the local, regional or national level.

To nominate a colleague, please include in the submission:

  • A brief outline of how the candidate meets the award criteria
  • An indication that the candidate is aware of the nomination and agrees to be nominated

The candidate’s CV.   Please submit the documentation to faculty@utfa.org by December 15, 2011.
