Noam Chomsky speaks at UT Student Rally

On the evening of Wed. April 7, Noam Chomsky addressed a peaceful group of UT students and faculty outside of Simcoe Hall, along with members of CUPE, UTFA. Inside Simcoe Hall the public meeting of the Governing Council was being held. The meeting approved student tuition increases for the year 2011-2012. Many faculty and students were prevented from attending the public meeting by the police inside and outside the building who were controlling access.
