University of Windsor Faculty Association 90% Strike Mandate

In the OCUFA Report the following was announced:

“Members of the University of Windsor Faculty Association last week gave their negotiators a 90 per cent vote supporting a strike mandate.  Negotiations will continue this week in the presence of an Ontario ministry of labour conciliator. Faculty negotiators report that almost no progress has been made in the talks, which have been on-going for months. “We are hoping this strong vote will encourage the administration to begin bargaining seriously so that we can reach a new collective agreement,” said faculty association president Brian E. Brown following the vote.”
