David Naylor, UT President, Responds to AUCC Statement on Academic Freedom

F.Y.I. The President of the University of Toronto has publicly released his reasons for withdrawing from the board of the AUCC on this website:

The new statement on Academic Freedom by the AUCC (the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada) has caused much concern in Canadian academic communities and raises serious questions.     Technical note: your link to the president’s comment actually goes to the AUCC statement. The link text is the URL you want, but the linked URL is not the same. Not sure why that’s happening, but I’ve seen it a few times on this blog. Strange, because your other links seem to go to where you mean them to go.
