George Luste retires as UTFA President June 30, 2012 and a new president takes the lead. Two candidates have been nominated to run for the position of President, Scott Prudham and Donna Losell. For Scott Prudham’s goals see recent statement. Donna Losell’s goals are posted on the UTFA website (see link below). The voting period closes April 5, 2012. All UTFA members in the three streams, teaching stream, faculty and librarians, should have received an email today with the link to vote – so don’t forget to vote!
Scott Prudham is a professor in the Department of Geography, cross-appointed to the Centre for Environment at the University of Toronto and has worked at the University of Toronto since July of 2000. He is also Editor of the journal Geoforum and his research and teaching interests pertain to environmental politics, environmental change, and critical political economy has launched a website listing his experiences, and close to 10 years of work with UTFA, see http://www.scottprudham.ca .
Donna Losell is a Senior Lecturer at the Rotman School for Management and a professional accountant and auditor. Donna Losell is a new member of the UTFA council this past year. For more information see Donna Losell Statement:
“I am a Senior Lecturer at Rotman School for Management and have been a faculty member at University of Toronto for thirty- one years. I have developed and taught courses in accounting, auditing and financial distress and insolvency. I chaired the Finance Committee at Hart House for a decade, co-chaired the Accounting Area and was the Assistant Dean at Faculty of Management Studies. I have published a number of articles in accounting and auditing. I also consult on financial matters periodically for a variety of different clients. Prior to becoming a faculty member, I worked for Price Waterhouse.”
