UofT PERA Funds: What can they be used for?

PERA funds are used for a wide range of items that your support your three areas of responsibilities (scholarship or professional creative activities, professsional responsibilities and service): conferences, membership fees, travel, equipment (such a laptop, scanner), books or resources.

Now, PERA can also be used to augment the cost of hiring work study students. This has recently been agreed upon between UTFA and the UofT Administration. The final decision about whether to use PERA funds for this, however, rests with the individual faculty or librarian.
