U of T Policies for Librarians

We know the Policies for Librarians is 37 years old. We know it was written in the mid-1970s. We know some academic librarians at U of T were not even born when these policies for appointment and promotion were written. It is time for change. The faculty at UTFA support the need for up-to-date policies!

We need new policies that reflect the values and high standards of our profession, academic librarianship, at the University of Toronto. In the coming months, the UTFA Librarians Committee will begin an outreach program to inform and discuss with colleagues appropriate working terms and conditions for our profession at this institution. The first step commences with town halls and meetings organized at the three campuses. More activities will follow. Please join members of the UTFA librarians committee to discuss what is happening!
